With just two days until Season 6 of Modern Warfare and Warzone is released, some PlayStation users have been able to pre-download the update ahead of time.
Patch 1.27 is available for PlayStation users to download early but for those that haven't got the option, it will become available this evening (September 27th)
How to Pre-Download
For players that have automatic downloads enabled, the pre-download will begin automatically if the console is on or in rest mode.
Automatic downloads are only available for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
For those that have automatic downloads disabled, here's how to manually begin the download:
- Highlight the Modern Warfare or Warzone game tile on the PS4 home screen.
- Press Options
- Click on Check for Updates
- The update should begin then. If not, wait until later in the day and try again.
Sony has only enabled an early download of updates twice. The first time was before the launch of Season 5, which released at the beginning of August.
For Xbox and PC players, pre-downloading the update isn't available.
