Almost a year since Overwatch 2 was announced, and rumors appear about a release date that would strangely coincide with BlizzCon 2021 and Overwatch League Season 4.

We're all waiting for any information about Overwatch 2. Last year at BlizzCon, Activision Blizzard made the bold move to announce what everyone was hoping for: a sequel to Overwatch. Since then, players have been waiting in vain for news until recently.

According to Metro_OW, rumors are circulating about a change in the opening date of Overwatch League Season 4 to April 2021. This would allow for a proper launch of Overwatch 2 (beta or official release) at BlizzCon 2021 in February.

Metro_OW is pretty reliable when it comes to rumors about upcoming news in Overwatch. The latest information he has given out has almost all turned out to be true.

We're still waiting for an official announcement concerning the release date of Overwatch 2 as well as the opening date of the Overwatch League. All these are just rumors and should be taken as such.
