With the postponement of the BlizzCon in early 2021 — which could have given us more information about Overwatch 2 — everything seemed to be down on the new side of things. That was without counting on the German version of GameStop, which created a new Overwatch 2 pre-order page for Switch, PC, PS4 and XboxOne.
Unfortunately, no date was available, just few visuals, a relatively complete description, and a price including Home Delivery or Pickup in Store.
According to the website, Overwatch 2 could be sold on all platforms in physical version for 70.77 euros ($80,52). Please note that this price is in no way definitive or official.
With the exception of the product numbers, the pages of each version are identical.
At the same time, on Twitter, @OverwatchNaeri discovered that the YouTube playlist of the Overwatch Animated Shorts had been updated recently. This could indicate that new animated shorts are about to be released soon.
For now, it's just a coincidence with no real implication. However, a new short movie means new information about the lore and history of the characters, and potentially a new way to connect our heroes to the recent history of the game in which its sequel will take place.
