For the first time in Call of Duty history, Season 1 brings universal, synchronized player progression that works between Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Warzone! Black Ops Cold War's progression builds on a familiar and similar path to Modern Warfare while incorporating an innovative Prestige system, giving you more challenges and content to earn.
Military Ranks and Modes
- Check out each title's Barracks menu for a new change: your ranks (level 1-55) are now known as military ranks. These will be fully synchronized between the three games (starting at launch for Black Ops Cold War players, and in Season 1 for Modern Warfare and Warzone players).
- This universal progression system means you can level up (and get XP) no matter what game you play!
- Progress in the usual way by playing multiplayer modes, completing challenges (in Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare games) and Warzone.
- Plus, Black Ops Cold War Zombies also shares this same progression, so you'll be able to level up however you play!
Seasonal Prestige Levelling
- Your Seasonal Officer progression is now known as Season Levels, which incorporates a Seasonal Prestige Level system. These are fully synchronized between the three games.
- When you start leveling the season, expect an updated interface for this leveling system.
- Seasonal progression has been updated with aspects of the traditional Prestige system, allowing players to unlock and redeem rewards, including some incredibly cool legacy player ID elements from the world of Black Ops!
- Leveling up in Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, or Modern Warfare all counts towards your Season and Prestige level.
- Prestige's preferred way is to play Black Ops Cold War, thanks to challenges focused on Black Ops Cold War gameplay, XP events, and other perks planned throughout the seasons.
- Keep in mind that much of this content can be earned or just free, just by playing one or all of the three games.
