Data transfer
In the first video, we learn how to transfer data from a PS4 to a PS5. The first recommended method is to connect the two consoles in order to transfer data via wi-fi. However, it will be possible to connect the two consoles via an ethernet cable to speed up the transfer. This will be done in the background and will not prevent you from enjoying the console as quickly as possible.
Backward compatibility will also allow the next-gen console to read and install PS4 game discs. Sony is also suggesting that PS4 games be installed on an external hard drive connected to the PS5 so that previous generation games do not take up too much space on the console's built-in SSD.
Connecting to your account
The second video explains how to log into your PlayStation Network account from the new console. It also reminds you that this account will allow you to retrieve all your old trophies, your friends list, your purchase history and your wallet.
The video also shows a new PlayStation application that will allow you to log in to your account by scanning a QR code.
Settings
Finally, the last video takes us on a tour of the console's options. It'll be possible to adjust the 3D sound management or to configure the controller in order to deactivate the adaptive triggers or to adjust the vibration intensity.
