The Epic Games Store is offering one free game per day from December 17th. To download, go directly to the Epic Games Store or launch the desktop app.
Games are free for 24 hours. Once you claim it, is it in your EGS library permanently.
Much like Steam sales, the site may experience server load as the masses rush to claim their free titles. If this happens, just come back later.

Normal service will now resume on the Epic Games Store, with free titles coming weekly. The first free title of the new year will be tactical roguelike Crying Suns, from January 7, 2021.
