While the LCK Spring Split is set to begin on January 13, Griffin, announced the dismantling of its League of Legends team.
The team started in 2018 during the LCK Summer Split via the promotions tournament, the team had aligned good results in its debut. Finishing second in the LCK Summer Split playoffs, winner of the KeSPA Cup that same year, winner of the Spring and Summer 2019 regular season, and second in the two-split playoffs, the team qualified for Worlds and reached quarterfinals.
After a promising 2019 year, the team collapsed during the Spring Split in 2020, scooped up with a 10th and last place, and was forced to play the relegation tournament and did not recover.
After joining the Challengers scene and failing to secure a spot for the promotions tournament, the team's end was not out of the picture.
The team also suffered from the coach cvMax controversy and many of their key players were gone, including mid-laner Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon and jungler Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong.
