Call of Duty League 2021: Stage 1, Group A, Group B, Chicago OpTic, Dallas Empire, Atlanta FaZe

The groups for the first stage of regular season competition have been revealed by the Call of Duty League.

Unlike the 2020 season, two groups of six have been determined by a reverse snake draft which saw representatives from all 12 franchises select a team to be placed in either Group A or Group B.

Find out which teams have been drawn into which group below.

Group A

  • Dallas Empire
  • Los Angeles Thieves
  • Minnesota ROKKR
  • London Royal Ravens
  • New York Subliners
  • Seattle Surge

On paper, this group looks to be extremely competitive. With the two powerhouse rosters of Dallas and the LA Thieves headlining the group, the battle for third place could be anyone's guess.

Group B

  • Atlanta FaZe
  • OpTic Chicago
  • Florida Mutineers
  • Toronto Ultra
  • Los Angeles Guerrillas
  • Paris Legion

In comparison to Group A, Group B appears to be more of a clear-cut affair. Atlanta, OpTic, and the Mutineers are certainly the favorites for the top three places in the table while the contest between the Guerrillas, Ultra, and Paris has the potential to be a battle decided by the finest of margins.

The first stage of the 2021 season begins on February 11th with the Atlanta Home Series. The four-day event will be the first opportunity for all 12 teams to earn CDL Points which will determine their positions in the regular season league table. The top eight teams at the end of the regular season will qualify for the Playoffs.
