Notable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson has revealed that a Call of Duty title that is dedicated to the popular Zombies survival mode is in early development.
The mode pioneered by Black Ops developer Treyarch has become a staple of any Black Ops title and has accumulated a passionate fan base over the years.
While some players may think that a standalone Zombies title is a bad idea, a game dedicated to the mode could be ideal, especially when the mode doesn't feature in many Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer-developed Call of Duty games.
Is It A Good Idea?
There are plenty of positives for publisher Activision to release a game that focuses on Zombies.
The title could well feature some form of campaign mode which delves into the vast history of Zombies alongside the online co-op modes that fans have fallen in love with over the years.
It would also be a great place to release fully remastered versions of Zombies maps from the older Call of Duty titles. Having them all in once place and available at any one time without the need for buying the latest release is certainly appealing that only play Call of Duty for its Zombies experiences.
While it may be a good idea, this is a leak and should always be taken with a grain of salt until some form of official communication is made by either Treyarch or Activision.
However, Tom Henderson has been accurate with leaks in the past, so there;s a chance that a standalone Zombies title could be arriving in the future!
