The date for Warzone's highly-anticipated in-game event is fast approaching. The impending demise of the current Verdansk map has been teased for several months after missile silos appeared around the map along with players discovering missiles primed for launch within nuclear bunkers.
The event will pave the way for a new iteration of Verdansk set in the 1980s and while many think the event will be a one-off spectacular, leaks have emerged revealing that it could feature a total of two parts.
2 Parts To Warzone's Nuke Event
Discovered by notable Call of Duty leaker @ZestyCODLeaks, files within the battle royale currently point towards the event being split into two parts.
The file in question was added as part of the recent update which saw the launch of Season 2 Reloaded.
Named 'mp_don4_reveal_s4' the file implies that something could be happening in Season 4, which goes against reports stating the event will be taking place on April 22nd.
Either the event has been delayed to another date or it's been split into two parts.
While we know what will be happening in the first part of the event, details on the second part have yet to be discovered, creating another layer of intrigue.
Could it be the continuation of the conflict between Soviet fugitive Stitch and arch-nemesis Adler? We will have to wait and see.
