The rivalry between console and PC players will never end. It is a subject that has been a hot topic of debate within the Warzone community, with many players convinced that controller players have an advantage over those using a mouse and keyboard.
While we were already aware of the advantage of aim assist for controller users, players are claiming that one particular weapon is also providing an unfair advantage.
FaZe Clan member and Warzone content creator NICKMERCS has shown that controller players have an advantage using the XM4, Black Ops Cold War's flagship assault rifle. Widely considered an excellent weapon to complement sniper rifles, it's believed that its incredible mobility has an impact on the aim assist.
"One of my favorite things about this XM4 class is mobility. I think being a controller player, this is one of those moments where I have to understand that aim assist probably works to the benefit of certain weapons. Listen, there are a lot of guns in Warzone that have a good amount of bullet velocity. So any weapon where you move left to right or horizontally with a good strafe speed you know the aim assist will be a big part of that," Nickmercs explains in the video
The final punchline comes with a resounding statement he makes on the subject: "Believe me when I tell you that this is more of a controller player's weapon." So, if controller players are looking for the next best weapon as part of their loadouts, it is certainly worth giving the XM4 a try.
