Despite the best efforts of Raven Software, encountering cheaters is something that several Warzone players encounter on a daily basis.
Some people are very diligent in reporting them but the cheaters are still able to bypass the anti-cheat methods in place in order to gain an unfair advantage over their opposition.
In recent weeks, console players have complained that cross-platform play is opening the doors for cheaters to the console community.
Cheaters have dominated the popular battle royale for several months, with players using a range of third-party software to gain a range of unfair advantages including automatic aim assist and the ability to see through walls.
The developer has managed to ban hundreds of thousands of accounts caught cheating, but a cheating watchdog has claimed that a new wave of cheaters are on the horizon.
According to a Twitter page named the "Anti-cheat Police Department", the unofficial watchdog claims that cheaters will take over console Warzone in the imminent future.
This is thanks to a new cheat machine that gives players a huge boost in aim assist, enabling them to instantly lock onto a target with minimal controller input.
Even though the new cheat machine could negatively impact console players for a brief period, the tool is discoverable by developers. Despite them being able to detect the presence of the cheat program, the watchdog states that it will take some for the offending players to be proven guilty.
With an impending influx of Warzone cheaters infiltrating console matches in the imminent future, players are far from happy regarding the news. It will certainly be interesting to see how quickly Raven Software and Activision can deal with the issue considering Warzone doesn't feature a dedicated piece of anti-cheat software.
