EA Games recently released the first official trailer for FIFA 22, showing off the new HyperMotion technology, alongside some details about the Dual Entitlement.
Last year it was possible to upgrade your version of Fifa from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox serie for free, however this year things are a little different. The Dual Entitlement will only be available if you purchase the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 22, which is currently available for pre-order at a price of €100.
If you purchase the standard version on PS4 or Xbox One and decide to upgrade your console, you’ll need to continue playing the title through backwards compatibility without the visual or technical improvements, or pay for the Ultimate Edition content digitally.
All your progress on FIFA 22 Ultimate Team — players, items, coins, FIFA Points, match records, and rankings — as well as Volta Football will transfer seamlessly from one console to another. Progress in all other modes, such as Online Seasons, Co-op Seasons, Career Mode, Pro Clubs will not carry over.
FIFA 22 will be available for early access on September 27 if you pre-order, and the standard version will be released on October 1.
