European League of Legends team MAD Lions are heading into the LEC playoffs with ambition. The reigning champions are set on holding onto their crown, but they will have a lot of work to do in their opening tie against G2 Esports.
With victory against G2 securing their place at Worlds, there's a lot on the line. As such, the organization has brought in reinforcements behind the scenes in Vizicsacsi.
The Hungarian joins as positional toplane coach, with the Lions counting on his experience and knowledge of the game to help İrfan Berk "Armut" Tükek, the team's current toplaner.
At 28 years old, Csacsi has many playoff seasons under his belt, whether with the Unicorns, Schalke 04 Esports, or Splyce. He has experienced the pressure of the final stages of competition on many occasions, and is known for his strength and consistency.
For now, the role is just for the playoffs, but should the partnership prove fruitful, we see no reason why this wouldn't continue into Worlds. Certainly the former pro knows a bit about that event, having competed at Worlds 2019 with Splyce -- alongside current Lion Marek "Humanoid" Brázda.
With coaching becoming more evolved in professional League, specific positional coaches could be something we see more prominently as teams aim to level up the individual cogs in their machines.
