A new event comes to Genshin Impact on August 20, with new missions and rewards on offer. Here's what you need to know about Phantom Flow.
Event Details
The event will go live on August 20 at 10:00 server time, and last until August 30 at 03:59.
It will take place in Inazuma, and players will need to have reached at least Adventure Rank 30 and have completed the missions Ritou Escape Plan and Letter from Chisato.
Phantom Flow: Missions and Challenges
Following in the vein of other events in Genshin Impact, different missions and challenges will be unlocked on the event page.
Players will travel the world to complete these challenges, which aim to help the Traveler 'initiate an imaginary, no-holds-barred fighting tournament', unlocking more rewards as they go.
According to miHoYo, 'each themed challenge has a different monster list and Shinryuu Mechanics. Using these Shinryuu Mechanics strategically will help Travelers complete the challenge more easily'.
These boosts include increased Energy Recharge and bonuses to Elemental Burst chains.
There are two modes to each themed challenge:
- Shoden Mode offers three levels of difficulty (normal, hard and extreme). Players can choose their level, but to unlock the next mode a challenge must be completed on Extreme. Beating a challenge on a higher difficulty immediately unlocks the lower-difficulty rewards.
- Okuden Mode is the master difficulty level, and will prove to be a tough ask for even the most battle-hardened Travelers.
Rewards
Successfully completing all the challenges will reward players with the following:
- Primogems
- Hero's Wit
- Mystic Enhancement Ore
- Mora
- Guide to Transience
- Guide to Elegance
- Guide to Light
It must be noted that Phantom Flow can only be played in Single-Player Mode, and that adjusting World Level will not change the level of opponents or difficulty in general.
Happy hunting!
