A few days ago, a rumor emerged that linked CS:GO legend Marcelo “coldzera” David with the North American organization Complexity Gaming.
This comes after nearly three months away from tournament play for the star, as a result of being benched by FaZe Clan, following their reinstatement of Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson.
Complexity was eliminated from the ESL Pro League Season 14 by Team Vitality. Although they reached the playoffs, they did so without their full starting squad, with Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke absent through injury.
Although he's on the mend, he's not available for BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, leaving Complexity needing a replacement.
While Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen was an option, Complexity has turned to the 26-year-old Brazilian. The world's top player in 2016 and 2017 according to HLTV rankings, he was also part of the Major-winning SK Gaming era.
Coldzera's first tournament will be BLAST Premier: Fall Groups, starting on September 16. Ironically, his debut will come against FaZe Clan.
FaZe released a farewell video for the Brazilian rifler, who joined the org in September 2019 and played with the European team until June 2021. The objective was to win trophies in the most important events, but between the coronavirus pandemic and changes to the squad, it was not entirely possible.
Although there were significant victories, such as at IEM New York 2020, a Major proved elusive.
