Elden Ring: the best launch since The Division and Call of Duty

Elden Ring, the latest game from FromSoftware studios, is once again at the top of the charts with figures exceeding all expectations.

Elden Ring becomes the new biggest game in Europe surpassing by far  The Division in 2016 and doing much better than the launch of Call of Duty Vanguard. In Europe (except in Germany), Elden Ring was positioned as the best-selling game for the month of February.

While Elden Ring was already setting a record for media coverage, Elden Ring continues to impress, in fact, according to data found on gamesindustry.biz , the game has made huge sales on PC. PS4 sales constitute 13% of total sales, Xbox is at 16%, PS5 contributes 27% while on PC the figures are almost doubled since they represent 44%.

In addition to having a better launch than its big brothers Sekiro or Dark Souls III, Elden Ring is positioned as the 6th most played game on Steam.

Last week, Elden Ring was very close to reaching one million simultaneous players on PC too.
