Elden Ring has been out for a little over a month and its success shows no signs of slowing down.
On Steam, one of the largest video game distribution services in the world, Elden Ring stands out as the flagship game of this beginning of the year. Since its release, it hasn't left the top spot on the top-selling games chart every week.
Last week, from March 21 to 27 , the game was still number 1 in sales, ahead of several other gems in the video game industry. Here is the ranking established by Steam (according to CowCotLand ):
- Elden Ring
- Steam Deck
- It Takes Two
- Ghostwire: Tokyo
- VR Valve Index Kit
- Core Keeper
- Dread Hunger
- Ghostwire: Tokyo (pre-order)
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Even the Steam Deck, Steam's portable console, failed to dethrone Elden Ring, despite being released on the same day, February 25th.
Also on Steam, the game remains offered as the first option in the “ best selling ” category of video games, ahead of the new releases in March.
Previously, Elden Ring had become FromSoftware's best-selling game, ahead of the legendary Dark Souls and the innovative Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In a press release, the company revealed that it had sold more than 12 million copies of the game, including 1 million in Japan alone.
The information had been celebrated in mid-March, and since then no official figures have been revealed from FromSoftware. It seems that the global video game industry rankings speak for themselves.
