Elden Ring players could not miss the phenomenon of the past few weeks: the legendary player Let Me Solo Her who faced Malenia dressed only in underwear, a pot and his two katanas. Many people have been able to take advantage of his services to pass this boss, considered by many to be the most difficult in the game!
However, patch 1.04 corrects certain interactions, and it seems that the developers wanted to stop the player's activity at the soup tureen. From now on, if you want to pass Malenia, you will have to do it the old way...
Why had Malenia become so easy?
Even though FromSoftware games are famous for their sometimes excessive difficulty, especially when it comes to boss fights, it seems that the nightmarish entities of the Underworld are more permissive than those of the Souls. Or just more buggy?
As we have seen over the past few weeks, players have competed in inventiveness and tactics to trigger certain boss behaviors that made it very easy to defeat them , whether by bug abuse or simply by pattern abuse .
That's not really what happened to Malenia. The Blade of Miquella had remained for many an insurmountable obstacle with its extremely strong skill set and its lack of flaws or flaws to exploit. At least that was true solo .
To pass the boss easily, all you had to do was summon the Let Me Solo Her player in your world to do it for you. Only equipped with a pot as a helmet and his katanas of blood and frost, he ridiculed Malenia for his talent and the fluidity of his gameplay . Her explosive outfit in view of her power contributed to her glory and the general laughingstock about Malenia who was no longer so scary.
The latter decided to take revenge in the last patch , so you will have to reach the level of Let Me Solo Her if you want to beat her!
What changes with patch 1.04
For starters, the developers decided to make her harder to beat in general . We feel that it is their favorite boss and that it had to become again this impassable obstacle, this unfallable wall in front of the rest of the adventure. So they boosted her stats so that the fight is basically more complicated than before.
What interests us most is a strange behavior that occurs in multiplayer . It's hard to know if this is a bug or an answer to Let Me Solo Her, but when summoning an ally for this fight, Malenia's life goes back up on its own! We were already struggling to deal with her lifesteal, but now she regenerates completely by default, without needing to deal a hit.
If you want to fight the Blade of Miquella, you have no choice but to do so in a regular duel !
