In recent weeks, we hear a lot about Mr. Kojima. For good reason, the director of Death Stranding seems to be on multiple projects, all more diverse than each other. Between an (unofficial) horror game called Overdose, an exclusive project with Xbox, and many others, fans of Kojima's games won't have anything to get bored of. However, thanks to a tweet from the director, his community discovers that he had many other ideas in mind… which he had to put aside.
A concept similar to The Boys
The Boys is an Amazon Prime series, based on a comic book of the same name, featuring a band of superheroes, some of whom are corrupt and arrogant, far from the heroic image that the public attributes to them. The series therefore breaks viewers' prejudices about superheroines, an unusual concept that had already crossed Kojima's mind.
The concept was then "paused" by the director, just before he started it. Fortunately, he had not yet invested in the video game project , it was only an idea that was going to be realized shortly.
As Kojima clarified, the project has been "put on hold" , and is therefore not totally abandoned . It is possible that, in a few months, when the hype on the series will have passed, the director will decide to bring his idea to life. In addition, the writing and production teams of The Boys made him an interesting offer. Eric Kripke , one of the producers of the Amazon Prime series, replied under his Tweet: "Please come and let's make a The Boys game together. We can team up and conquer! I'm a big fan" .
Who knows, maybe the director will accept the offer from the teams of the series The Boys. In any case, we are impatiently awaiting a response from Hideo Kojima!
