The famous witch of the Umbra returns to service on Nintendo Switch! After a first teaser at the end of 2021, Nintendo comes out of silence and has just unveiled a new trailer but above all a release date for Bayonetta 3 .
RDV at the end of October
The third installment of the license will be released on October 28, 2022 exclusively on Nintendo Switch . You will play as Bayonetta of course, but also Viola, an apprentice witch with a sword and accompanied by a capricious demon named Chouchou.
In terms of gameplay, some new features are to be expected. In particular, you will be able to merge with the demons contained in your weapons thanks to the Demon Masquerade , which will allow you to fight in different overpowered forms. You will also have the possibility of summoning gigantic demons to lead dantesque battles.
A collector's edition but not only
To celebrate the return of the license with dignity, Nintendo will offer a collector's edition called Trinity Masquerade Edition (in addition to the classic edition), sold exclusively on the Nintendo Store. It will include:
- Bayonetta 3 game
- A 200-page artbook
- Three alternative covers for each game in the franchise
In addition to this collector's edition, Nintendo has planned to reissue the first game in physical format on September 30, at a price of €29.99 . The perfect opportunity to get your hands on it if you didn't manage to pick up the limited edition of Bayonetta 2 which included a download code for the first game.
Bayonetta 3 is already available for pre-order on the official Nintendo UK website, at a price of £49.99 (we can therefore count on €49.99 in France)
A few days ago, several Twitter accounts specializing in hacking and computer security claimed that Bandai Namco had won a cyberattack. The publisher confirmed today that the attack was real and has since taken preventive measures.
