It was in November 2019 that we had the right to the very first and for the moment last game from Kojima Productions, through the immense Death Stranding featuring the excellent actor Norman Reedus. If since its release we have all been waiting for Hideo Kojima's next game, it seems that we will soon have a trailer of what his new title will be. Sequel to Death Stranding, Project Overdose, or Silent Hill, bets are off!
Kojima set to reveal his next game
Since the cancellation of what should have been PT, the Silent Hill which unfortunately never saw the light of day, rumors have been swirling about Kojima's projects. Although we had the right to Death Stranding, players are still waiting to discover its next nuggets but are also hoping for a resounding return of the mythical license from Konami and Kojima with a brand new game taking over the franchise.
However, if hopes remain slim, the producer still declared during the Summer Games Fest 2022 that he was working in collaboration with the manufacturer Microsoft for a brand new title then exploiting cloud technology. In addition, several rumors of corridors report a project known as Overdose, a horror game which would then be a spin-off of Death Stranding. According to the first information, this game should be focused on Mama and / or Lockne, the two very mysterious twins present in the latter.
You will have understood it, but when it comes to Hideo Kojima, everything is vague and everything is only rumors apart from his project with Xbox, but perhaps not for long. On the social network of the blue bird, the producer has indeed made a rather pleasing announcement for the fans by announcing that he had just finished editing the trailer for his next game.
It did not take more for the community to panic and for several players to suggest that we should have the right to this famous trailer during the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2022 which will take place, we reminds you, Tuesday, August 23 at 11 a.m. PT, or 8 p.m. French time .
This will be presented by none other than Geoff Keighley, and we all know it, but the two men get along particularly well and it is during the various events that Geoff Keighley presents that our Hideo Kojima takes the opportunity to talk (really a little bit) of his projects. In addition, the star presenter has announced that this opening night will last a little over two hours, and we will see no less than thirty games, with of course games already known, but others not with the famous World Premiere.
