We're not going to lie to each other, but for several years now we've been hearing everything and anything about SIlent Hill. Following the cancellation of Silent Hills whose demo was called PT (playable demo), we have since had the right to tons of rumors about the return of the license , with remakes, remasters, sequels, in short, it there is something for everyone!
However, for the past few days, things seem to be more and more concrete with a potential Silent Hill: The Short Message according to the words of Gematsu, but not only since the director of the film has also made some statements by admitting that not one but several games would be in preparation.
Christophe Gans and Konami, a love that endures despite the obstacles
At the head of the film Silent Hill released in 2006, Christophe Gans indeed made some confessions in a recent interview with MaG , declaring then that if he was not working on the next game Silent Hill, he nevertheless knows a lot of things since he works with Konami.
According to him, he is still in contact with the Silent Team since he devotes an unconditional love to the license, and Konami trusts him completely as to the design of his next film. As a result, despite the departure of Hideo Kojima a few years ago, they still work closely together today (Christophe Gans and Konami), and the developers are still in demand for visuals when Gans designs certain creatures from the license in his films.
They do not hesitate to ask him why he imagined the monsters in such a way or that way, and they are always takers when it comes to the vision of the director-producer. Still according to Christophe Gans, the latter confided that to draw the creatures, he used all the emotions that the games could give him, including that of fear which is as you can imagine predominant.
Multiple teams for multiple Silent Hill games
A little later in the interview, as it is about to end, Christophe Gans releases the information we were all waiting for! If there are several teams from Konami working on the license, there are also several franchise games that are well and truly in preparation .
According to him, we would have the right to a new title but also to Silent Hill 2 Remake which is therefore more precise. At Konami, the developers were impressed with the work provided by the devs at Capcom for the remakes of Resident Evil but also with the success they encountered, and it seems that they too want to offer several remasters / remakes to their fans. .
Unfortunately once again, we will have to take our troubles patiently and wait for an official confirmation from Konami.
