With the Dragonflight expansion fast approaching, Blizzard recently revealed the end date for Season 4 of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. One more clue concerning the deployment of the PrePatch of the ninth expansion, and the opportunity to remember what will disappear once the season is over!

Shadowlands Season 4: Items removed from the game
The final season of Shadowlands will not have lasted very long as expected since the developers recently revealed that it will end with the weekly maintenance on Wednesday October 26, 2022 for European players. This end of the season will very soon have very concrete implications for all players looking for collectibles temporarily available in-game, since these will be made completely inaccessible once the season is over!
PvE content removed with the end of Shadowlands Season 4
In addition to the achievements and rewards listed in the table below, mounts obtainable from end-of-raid bosses in Mythic Shadowlands will have their drop rate reduced from 100% to 1%:
- Reins of Vengeance drop from Sylvanas Windrunner in Sanctum of Domination
-
Fractal Cipher of the Carcinated Zereth Steed obtainable from The Jailer at the Founders Sepulcher
Important: The Mythic Mode + Deathwalker Restoration mount and "The Shadow" title will remain obtainable until Dragonflight rolls out.
PvP content removed with the end of Shadowlands Season 4
In addition to the achievements and rewards listed in the table below, all so-called "elite" armor sets accessible by reaching certain specific ratings (a few pieces at each level) will be permanently removed from the game. Similarly, the Vicious War Stalker obtainable by winning rating matches during Season 4 will be removed from the game and reintroduced in exchange for a Vicious Saddle in a few future updates (not until mid-2019). the next expansion in general).
During the post-season, it will still be possible to increase your personal rating during rated matches and obtain certain achievements if you wish ( Just the two of us: 2000 for example). However, no title will be awarded to you by doing so.
A long-lasting PrePatch?
And this is undoubtedly the most interesting part of this end-of-season story! Because while collectors will no doubt be rushing to complete the achievements they covet before their final disappearance, the end of the final season of Shadowlands also implies that the Dragonflight PrePatch could arrive very quickly in stride.
Of course, we do not yet know its official release date. We know, however, that it went into "Release Candidate" on the side of Blizzard on the night of October 11 to 12, 2022, which means that it is ready to be deployed (but not that the developers have finished tweaking the classes for the upcoming extension). Could it be deployed as early as October 26, 2022? Probably, or in any case probably no later than the following week, that of November 2, which would leave us in the worst case almost a month to take advantage of the first new features of the upcoming expansion, starting by the significant changes made to the classes.
Moreover, a deployment on October 26 would once again prove one of the recent big leaks concerning games signed Activision Blizzard. It is probable, but to be taken with tweezers all the same!
And then hey... Let's not forget that the arrival of the PrePatch will also mark the arrival of the Dracthyr Evoker in game for players who have pre-ordered the expansion. Ion Hazzikostas himself told JudgeHype a while back. Enough to give us time to give everyone time to familiarize themselves with this very atypical class by the official release of Dragonflight, Tuesday, November 29, 2022!
The next few weeks promise to be very interesting on the modern version of World of Warcraft!
