Sony announced earlier today that the DualSense Edge , the high-end, customizable controller for the PlayStation 5 , will launch on January 26, 2023 .
A controller at the price of a Switch
Announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live last August, the DualSense Edge controller was unveiled in detail in a post on the official PlayStation blog .
While it looks a lot like the regular PS5 DualSense controller visually, it offers a much more personalized experience: you can remap buttons , fine-tune stick and trigger sensitivity , and switch between control profiles. . This all comes on top of the core DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
"You can customize the DualSense Edge controller to your liking with the included three sets of interchangeable joystick caps and two sets of rear keycaps, also interchangeable. All of these will be included in the carrying case."

Pre-orders open soon
The DualSense Edge will be available for pre-order in the US and Western Europe (UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) on PlayStation's website starting next Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Besides pre-orders, the DualSense Edge is expected to be available on the PlayStation direct site on January 26, 2023. If you want to pick it up from other mainstream retailers , however, those will start selling the new controller on February 23, 2023 , according to Sony. .
