On the night of December 8, the Game Awards 2022 ceremony took place, an annual event presented by Geoff Keighley, rewarding no less than 32 categories from the video game world this year. Beyond the Awards, it is also one of the times of the year when many trailers for new games are revealed, and to give news of expected games to come. And even if these Game Awards were pleasant to follow and that of course excellent announcements took place, Hades 2, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Armored Core VI among others, we can regret the absence of information concerning certain big titles planned for 2023.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The sequel to Breath of the Wild has been so eagerly awaited since the first trailers that the game won the most anticipated game award at the Game Awards 2022. So disappointing for Nintendo fans, we may have a new reveal of Tears of the Kingdom in an upcoming Nintendo Direct, as our 2nd game on this list...
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Even recurring in recent years, Silksong has long been considered this forgotten game that will never be announced after the very first teasings... But we have recently learned that the sequel to Hollow Knight with Hornet as the main protagonist does indeed exist ! A new trailer wouldn't have hurt us, since the last gameplay showcase last June.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The ultra-anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake is expected with very firm feet around here, and for many fans of the legendary license. And like his friend Final Fantasy XVI, we would have liked a date, or at least something, the last trailer also dating from June 2022.
Hogwarts Legacy
Scheduled for soon (February 10, 2023), and nominated in the most anticipated games category, Hogwarts Legacy is one of the major absentees from the ceremony. There's a lot of hype being created around the game right now, now would have been the perfect time to send fans some magic and remind them of their status as the big game of 2023.
The Elder Scrolls VI
Good. It's been almost 5 years now since Bethesda Studios' announcement has since gone unheeded. You never know, between one or two Starfield trailers, it could have happened.
cocoon
My personal disappointment. I would have liked to see a little more of Cocoon, this game announced during the Xbox/Bethesda showcase last June which reminds Death's Door or Tunic, one of the sad losers of the ceremony. More futuristic atmosphere than these and rather neat, I really wished to see a little more while Christopher Judge thanked his distant 9th cousin.
