We've sorted through the hundreds of free games on Steam to bring you our selection of the best titles available in this category. But before revealing our favorites, it should be noted that we did not want to include the many free-to-play MOBAs and MMOs available, the latter being far too long to test or already covered in other records on the site.
Similarly, it is possible that good games do not appear in this list, simply because their servers are depopulated or their community is deemed too toxic.
Finally, we will kindly avoid insulting you by talking about Team Fortress 2 and DotA 2 , two very popular games that we obviously recommend. With that, it only remains for us to wish you a good read and a good discovery, hoping that you will find some unsuspected pearls.
