Taking place over two days from July 17-18 and featuring a massive $125,000 prize pool, the event will be the first officially sanctioned Teamfight Tactics event from Riot Games. It will coincide with the release of the autobattler's upcoming ranked ladder.

The tournament is now over, and JoshOG managed to snatch a victory with total earnings of 8,375$.
Format
The action will cover two regions — North America and Europe — and the 64 players will be divided into two groups of 32 accordingly.
The top eight players from each group will qualify for the second day's play, and will do battle for the title of Teamfight Tactics Showdown champion.
As always, the action will be broadcast on Twitch's dedicated Rivals channel, and adds to a Rivals stable that already includes major esports titles such as Overwatch, Hearthstone and Apex Legends — and even offbeat titles such as Stardew Valley.
