Season 17 is getting close from its end and Diablo 3 devs have prepared some new content in order to spice up the next season. Yeah, according to the official blog, PTR is now open!
Among other things, the 2.6.6. patch introduces new season rewards and new legendary powers. As always, the new season will have its own theme: the Season of the Triune!
This season will bring a new tweak, When touching enemies, all seasonal characters — and only them — will have a chance to proc a zone increasing their damage (sadly, it only looks like an upgraded version of the Occulus Ring's effect). One zone can be generated at a time and it will grant +100% damage, +50% resource reduction and cooldown reduction. This bonus will be activated from level one, meaning it will help quite a lot in order to grind your level 70.
Here is a quick summary of the new features implemented with the 2.6.6. patch:
- A pet has been added that will be available for players who pre-purchase Warcraft III: Reforged (PC Only)
- New Legendary Powers & New Legendary Gem
- Sets that can be created through craft are greatly reinforced
