As promised, the next fighter included within the Fighter Pass of Super Smash Bros Ultimate undergoes an in-depth presentation by Masahiro Sakurai. While waiting for Banjo & Kazooie, the Smash community will have the chance to play one of the most iconic and heroic figures of Japanese role-playing games. Released in 1986 on Famicom, the first opus of the Dragon Quest was a big success in Japan, notably because of its refined turn-based gameplay, but also because characters from the saga were drawn by Akira Toriyama — the father of Dragon Ball.
These four new fighters will join SSBU's roster tomorrow, accompanied by new music and a brand new dedicated stage. As a bonus, new Dragon Quest themed suits will be made available for Mii fighters.
The release of "Hero" will also mark the release of patch 4.0.0 — which will implement online tournaments.
