In addition to a long presentation of the new character from Super Smash Bros Ultimate — Dragon Quest's Hero — Masahiro Sakurai also announced the arrival of version 4.0 of his fighting game. Here are the main additions announced for this update which should be available in the next few days:
- New difficulty for the Adventure mode: Very Easy.
- The Final Smash will have a limited time of use (visible via a gauge that gradually empties out).
- The spectator mode hosts a betting system on the winner of a match, allowing you to win a few Goldus if you are right.
- The online tournament mode is finally making its debut with patch 4.0. To participate, simply select this mode from the "SSBU Online" menu. Match rules will change regularly and "event tournaments" are already planned by Nintendo.
