Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Dragon Quest's Hero presented on 30 July!

A special presentation from Masahiro Sakurai tomorrow will discuss the next character to join the SSBU roster — the Hero from the Dragon Quest series — including revealing the release date.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Dragon Quest's Hero presented on 30 July!

A gameplay demonstration lasting nearly 25 minutes will take place at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET for the Dragon Quest Hero — latest addition to the Fighters Pass in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

The Hero will also bring together the main protagonists of the legendary Enix RPG saga — designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama — thanks to the Hero's Final Smash.

Although the release date has not yet been revealed, the Hero should be included with in Patch 4.0.0 — to be released within the next seven days.

This comes just before the start of EVO 2019 (August 2–4) — where a new record was set for participants in a single game. Almost 3,500 contestants have registered to claim the EVO title for Smash Ultimate!

#SmashBrosUltimate replays created in versions before 3.1.0 are not compatible with 4.0.0, which releases within 7 days. If you have replays you want to keep, you'll need to convert them by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video before updating the software.
