It was during the Fortnite World Cup that Epic Games announced the launch of Season 10 and a new competitive mode: the Fortnite Champions Series. This competition will bring together the best Fortnite teams that can compete for $10 million. This new competition will be the first in a 3-round trio tournament format.
It is through a press release that the Fortnite Champion Series was revealed a little more. They will start on August 17 and will be played over 5 weeks with an instant summary of the results. Players will have direct and real-time access to their performance during the competition.
We also know a little more about the format since the competition will be run with trios. Players will compete for 5 weeks every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for cash and to qualify for the grand final of Season X and the results will be available in real time and all scores will be recorded. The best teams from each region will compete at the end of Season 10 — on September 20, 21 and 22 — to be crowned champion of the season and champion of the Fortnite Champion Series.
