Ask Riot gives the opportunity to League of Legends players to directly ask their question to Riot Games. In their dedicated article, they tried to answer most of them. This time, Riot focus on events and game modes: with the release of Teamfight Tactics, one may indeed wonder what's going to happen for URF and Clash Mode... Are you curious about it? Well, read on!
Less interesting events and game modes
A lot of players were complaining about the latest events and game modes being gradually less interesting, but this should change next year. Riot promises the return of the old game modes such as the URF. New missions and new objectives should also breath refreshing air on the Rift.
With Riot for now being completely focused on Worlds 2019, we'll still need to wait until next year to see such promises becoming true. Have you already drafted your gift list to Santa? Well, including League of Legends game modes within it might be worth it...
Custom Games
One question might already be burning your lips: "Why isn't Riot giving us the possibility to play URF or Nexus mode through custom games?" Apparently, Riot need some time to adapt each new champion to each mode in order to prevent major game-breaking bugs. Because of the bad game experience that it might give to players, Riot choose not to take this risk — meaning we still can dream about this feature but that it shouldn't be available soon...
Clash Mode
Riot Games seem to struggle a lot with the development of this new game mode. Previously tested in Turkey and America, the new Clash design is completed, internal tests have been made, and one thing is left: the mode needs to be tested at a regional scale. It might be released in October, but Riot is still hesitating about it. Everything about Clash Mode seems incredibly subject to changes, so we'll keep you updated. Stay tuned!
