Hylissang, the Madman

League of Legends

Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov started his career as the support of Unicorn of Love. Despite having quite a success with his team, he sadly never made it to the Worlds. On three occasions, the opportunity presented itself and he couldn't catch it. In 2018, with Unicorns of Love failing to qualify for Worlds, Hylissang decided to join Fnatic.

After a harsh 2017 season, the most iconic EU team of that era was struggling to find the light again, but the arrival of the Bulgarian Support changed everything. With Bwipo also finding his place as the new starting toplaner, Fnatic gained a second wind and managed to snatch the EU LCS title out of G2's hands, and thus to qualify for Worlds as the First Seed of the EU region. Black and yellow seemed to suit Hylissang as he was finally recognized for its talent as a support, but overall as a 'playmaker'.

Hylissang is a madman — without any doubt. Since his debut, he has always shown extraordinary aggressiveness in the bot lane. He belongs to that type of player ready to risk everything, to die for their teammates if it creates any opportunity. In August 2019, Hylissang became the first player to reach 2500 assists in the LEC and thus wrote his name into history. Lately, thanks to proactive picks such as Rakan or Pyke, he displayed incredible offensive support skills and his very aggressiveness was often a key factor in Fnatic's success.

Last year at Worlds, Fnatic managed to get first place of their group after beating IG in a tiebreaker match. Will they perform the same this year? WIll Hylissang's aggressiveness be the element that Fnatic needs to get their World Champions title back? The question still remains... until Worlds!
