Canyon, the MVP
Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu is an 18-year-old player who has just started his Jungler career in DAMWON Gaming. It took some time for him to adjust to the LCK, which directly impacted the performance of his team during the Spring Split. Eventually, DAMWON took the first place of the Rift Rivals, then proceed to rise to the top of their league. They reached the 2nd place at the end of the Summer Split, ranked third at the Playoffs and eventually prevailed during the Regional Finals — snatching the first place out of Kingzone's hands.
Canyon didn't steal his MVP title. He's this kind of incredible Jungler that makes the other team thinking he's absolutely everywhere. Honestly, even though he's only a rookie, Canyon showed fewer weaknesses and flaws that most LCK players. His game analysis and his talent for predicting the movements of opposing junglers have overthrown many early game players, which are all the more key in a very aggressive meta. Canyon is a monster that inspires a lot: its youth does not weigh on its maturity.
He is the future of the jungle in Korea.
It's D-Day! The League of Legends Worlds 2019 Grand Finals just ended with the win of FunPlus Phoenix. G2 Esports failed to achieve the Grand Slam, and lost 0-3 while facing the LPL champions.
