Doublelift, the Veteran
Do we really need to introduce Doublelift?
Here at Millenium, we just feel he has always been there.
Yiliang 'Doublelift' Peng is a 26-year-old American AD carry who started his career in 2011. He started as a support but was quickly noticed for his AD carry skills which earned him a position for nearly 4 years at CLG. He was so incredibly strong on his champions that CLG developed a strategy called "Protect the Doublelift" which basically implies he was solo-carrying games while his entire team was dying to protect him.
He participated in the first and second edition of the Worlds, but as League of Legends was gaining popularity all over the world, new players slowly but steadily appeared better than he was. In 2016, Doublelift left CLG for TSM to join Aphromoo in the bot lane. Their duo became incredibly popular under the "Rush Hour botlane" name.
Doublelift is probably the most famous player in NA and his career resumed even more strongly when he joined Team Liquid in late 2017. Since that date, it seems that no NA team is actually capable of stopping them. In 2018, they won their LCS title, but perform quite poorly at Worlds.
However, this 2019 Season was without a doubt the best season they ever had. Team Liquid proceeded to beat every team and proved themselves to be the strongest NA team at the Rift Rivals.
Doublelift is an extremely regular AD carry capable of playing all ADC champions, regardless of the meta. His immense experience makes him a player full of composure capable of managing any lane, no matter how talented his opponent may be. Despite his very regular style of play, he is still able to stand out with strength in times of need. His big picks are his Vayne, Ezreal, and Caitlyn.
Wait a minute... Didn't Vayne get buffed with the World's Patch? Doublelift could perhaps surprise us and offer a great performance to his team that has never had much success during the World Championships.
