The thrill is at its height and players are asking themselves the one and only question: "When are we going to be able to play Fortnite again?" No official information has been given by Epic Games, but some leakers think that the black hole could give way to something else on Tuesday, October 15 at 6am (EST).
In the game files, we can see that the time of the beginning and the end of the black hole is in line with the circulating rumor. More recently, it was the famous streamer Ninja who unveiled what can be seen as a clue on his personal Twitter account.
On a black background, you can hear Ninja whisper the word "tacos". The Mexican dish was in the spotlight in Season 10 and this could be a direct reference to the popular custom "Taco Tuesday" — which consists of eating tacos on Tuesday evenings.
As you will have understood, the word "tacos" would be linked to the word "Tuesday" here, reinforcing the theory of dataminers. It should be noted that Ninja could be in cahoots with Epic Games on this long teasing.
What if Fortnite doesn't come back until Thursday?
This is one of the last assumptions regarding the end date of the black hole. Note that this one should be taken with a grain of salt, for reasons that will be developed later. The code of fortnite.com was decrypted a second time, and it displayed the date of Thursday 17 at 1am as the end day of the black hole. A new season starting on Thursday makes sense knowing that it is traditionally the day new challenges are available.
The most advanced dataminers give little credit to this thesis. It would mean that Fortnite will be in downtime for four entire days — which simply seems impossible. We can legitimately imagine a 48-hour break to extend the wait a little longer, but no more...
Keep in mind that nothing is guaranteed or confirmed by Epic Games, so we advise you to stay tuned for news in order to learn more about the beginning of Chapter 2 of Fortnite!
