Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now! While many managed to get into the game on release, North American players struggled to get online, with Modern Warfare not connecting to online services.

It's that time of year, the new Call of Duty has just been released and server problems have plagued an otherwise successful release.

When the clocks struck 6PM Pacific Time, the Modern Warfare servers appeared to undergo heavy traffic, leaving thousands of players unable to access the Multiplayer part of the game.

We are continuing to investigate the issue related to the huge volume of new players connecting to Modern Warfare. Players that are in game should be able to continue playing without interruption. We will continue to provide updates as quickly as we can.

It appears that the issues with the servers have been rectified, meaning that everyone should be able to connect to the Modern Warfare servers and get stuck into a unique and immersive multiplayer experience.

Massive thank you for your patience and apologies for the delay. Crazy traffic tonight, but servers are coming back online now, and everyone should be able to begin launching Modern Warfare.
