Some information on the upcoming Hearthstone Battlegrounds patches has been released by Lead Designer Mike Donaisand they are quite significant! We summarize everything we heard of, just below.
A small patch will be deployed on Tuesday, November 19. On the program:
- For now, the MMR changes work like this: the first games make you win or lose a lot of points (sometimes more than 100). After a while, the score change decreases and you win/lose about 20 points in each game. The idea is to multiply this number by 4, which will change your MMR by about 80 points over time. Your initial ranking will be less relevant, but this change will make it easier for you to evolve.
- In this same patch, the four new heroes that were dataminated a few days ago will be available. However, in order to keep a pool of 24 heroes, a rotation will be made for each new hero (The 2 strongest and the 2 weakest: for the moment Millificent Manastorm and King Mukla have been mentioned).
- Some buffs for Demons and Murlocs are notably on the list of this patch.
- Another patch is planned for early December (December 5), and 3 new minions and 2 new heroes are on the program.
- The hero power of the Putricide Professor will be increased ( from +10 to +20 attack)
- Many other adjustments are planned but without a specific date : Junkbot's tavern tier level should evolve from 4 to 5; a new type of minions being considered (around March 2020); the addition of Dragons is being considered.
- A nerf of the Nightmare Amalgam is currently in progress, probably for January 2020 (Note: it will not affect Hearthstone's classic mode)
- The Battlegrounds beta is expected to last about 4 months but patches will be planned quite regularly.
- Animations will be improved and made faster (especially Toxicity)
- Bonus: There are currently no solutions for the ladder reset yet.
