Despite mysteriously disappearing at the beginning of Season 5, XP coins are have returned to Fortnite with the Patch 15.20 update! These will grant you to additional EXP to aid in completing your battle pass.
This week, the coins are located all around Apollo Island. This means that it will be tricky to collect a large number of them during a single game.
However, quickly finding a boat or a car should allow you to visit several spots quite easily.

This time, blue coins aren't hard to find, just like gold coins. Only purple coins present a challnge, since they split into several coins that must be picked up quickly for the full benefit.
Reward per coin
Each coin brings a certain amount of EXP:
- Green → 5,000 EXP
- Blue → 6,500 EXP
- Purple → 10,300 EXP
- Gold → 15,000 EXP
