If you've played a few games on Fortnite since yesterday, you've probably noticed that the weather sometimes changes completely. The little snowfalls that occur during the Winterfest sometimes turn into real storms. You should know that these blizzards start periodically and gradually.
They last up to 5 minutes and appear a little more frequently at the end of the game.
Some dataminers, like Hypex, have gone a little further in the investigation of this bad weather. Hypex has found an audio file showing the existence of two kinds of storms: "light" and "heavy".
At the time of writing, only the "light" storm has been observed. The other type of wind is reserved for later apparently!
Note that these snowstorms also appear in Arena mode. To the competitors' great displeasure because the blizzard, sometimes very powerful, considerably alters visibility. In some cases, the frozen fog makes it impossible to see beyond about thirty meters. Fortunately, the last major competitions of the year are behind us!
It remains to be seen what these storms omen for the game. The Winterfest is rather synonymous with a warm atmosphere and it is difficult to link it with blizzards. According to some game experts, they could mean a very close return of the Ice King.
