After having revealed snippets of information about the PS5 throughout 2019, Sony have now revealed the official logo for the new console at CES 2020. We won't comment on the design for one simple reason: it's pretty much identical to that of the PS3 and PS4.
PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, attending the Japanese manufacturer's conference, announced that we will soon have concrete news about the new console, which is scheduled to be released at the end of the year.
On another topic, a PlayStation spokesperson revealed figures detailing the success of the PS4. As of today, the PlayStation 4:
- has sold 106 million consoles
- has shipped 1.5 billion games
- has moved 5 million PSVR units
- has 103 million active users
- and 38.8 million PS+ accounts
