Appeared on Fortnite's social networks on January 19 at 6 am (PT), this teaser may be one of the last of its kind. It presents an item whose nature is still difficult to assume, as well as the inscription "Nine lives" in several languages. For some, it's a rocket — the Season X Scientist one perhaps — but for others, it's a yacht seen from above.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the teaser comes this time from its official footnote on Twitter.
We can read the term "Declassifeowied": it's a neologism that mixes the words "meow" and "declassified". The word is obviously related to the Agentmeowsicles, which we have heard in audio recordings from all over the world. Could it be that secret Agentmeowsicles are coming in Chapter 2 Season 2?
The term Nine lives is also very intriguing. It could refer to a movie released in 2016.
Nine lives is a Franco-Chinese comedy directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and whose poster obviously shows a cat. It seems unlikely that the film has a specific link with the battle royale, and maybe Epic Games is just trying to lure us in the wrong direction with this clue. In any case, the cats seem central to the Season 2 plot, so we hope you're not allergic!
Another teaser sequence can be observed when launching Fortnite. This time it shows a device that looks very much like a bomb or a torpedo. The background of this image announces the arrival of an oil platform on the map.
