As we announced a few days ago, Valorant's Competitive mode was to make its appearance in-game soon after the deployment of Patch Notes 0.49. After a maintenance period that lasted longer than expected and ended at around 12 pm (PT), players in the North America region can now enjoy the pleasures of competitive games.
How it works?
You'll have to play at least 20 Unrated matches to unlock Competitive mode. Once done, you'll find out which of the eight ranks — of which the first seven are divided into three tiers — you belong to; Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, or VALORANT. Only the best players in the world will have the privilege of reaching the highest rank. You can queue in full team (five players) but there shouldn't be more than two ranks between all teammates.
Please note that the rank you will get during this closed beta won't count for the official release of the game, scheduled for summer 2020. In addition, the developers may turn off ranked at any time for any reason.
Are you ready to enter the ranks?
