After the first in-engine reveal of Unreal Engine 5 on PS5 and the announcement of the release of Fortnite at the launch of next-gen consoles, Epic Games finally presented Epic Online Services, a technology that will open the way to cross-platform servers on many supports, as Fortnite has already been doing for many months.
These developer tools are now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch, with a whole host of options to create multiplayer experiences tailored to your needs. Not all features are included yet, but it's still a giant step toward multiplayer experiences with cross-platform servers.
