This is the last major patch before the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3. Patch 12.60 looks pretty thin on the surface, but it sets the stage for next season. A few bug fixes have been applied and we learn that a nerf of the controller aim assist is expected next week.
Dragacorn return
Withdrawn from competitive games a few days ago, Deadpool's glider is back with a new deployment animation. It should be noted that the Dragacorn was deemed too impactful in competition because of the new animation, which made your avatar very difficult to touch. Epic Games has corrected this with a new animation, where the overlapper is much more static.
If you purchased the glider, you can get a free refund until June 19.
New game mode selection menu
The lobby allowing you to choose a game mode has been visually modified.
New spy games mode
A variant of the Spy Games LTM is available on Wednesday, May 20. In this variant, you'll have to defend or attack an objective.
Additions in Party Royale
The Grapple and Jet Pack will be implemented soon in the Party Royale mode.
Controller aim assist nerf
Epic Games is working on a nerf on PC controllers. The modification should be done in the next update, called version 12.61.
Bug fixes
- For IOS players, a new feature called "Dynamic Resolution" will help you optimize your resolution or get the resolution you want.
