Fortnite v14.20 is implemented on the live servers. Epic Games confirmed the exact time of the start of maintenance via its Fortnite Status Twitter account. Maintenance will begin at 1:00 AM PT on Wednesday, September 23.
Content updates of this type typically require global maintenance that lasts between one to three hours. During this time, it isn't possible to log in to Fortnite to play.
The length of time it takes to install the patch will depend on the quality of your internet connection and support, as the patch size varies depending on whether you are playing on PS4, PC, Xbox or mobile.
The content of this patch is difficult to anticipate. Especially because few files have been datamined recently. On the other hand, we know that this weekend will be punctuated by two major events: the stage performance of BTS from the Party Royale mode and the Llama-Rama partnership with Rocket League.
Patch 14.20 should contain all the files necessary for the unfolding of these two events.
As for Chapter 2 Season 4 plot, v14.20 could make Galactus' approach even more palpable, and deploy new superhero powers on Apollo Island. Skill items had been datamined several weeks ago, and are still waiting to be deployed.
