The US Representative is no stranger to Among Us, the hit game from Innersloth, having pulled in a massive 439,000 viewers to a stream featuring fellow Representative Ilhan Omar and a host of well-known Twitch personalities back in October.
Now, after having been called out by Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh, it looks like another big night is on the cards for the sleuthing sim.
Taking place tonight at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT on the Twitch channels of both SIngh and AOC, the duel between the North American neighbours is sure to pull in a sizeable audience.
Speaking to HuffPost Canada, Singh said that playing alongside AOC would be 'an honor'.
“[Ocasio-Cortez is] someone who’s been the head of a movement in the States that’s really given a lot of people a lot of hope, and she’s fighting for people that need champions for them like everyday folks and young people, immigrants.”
Streamer Hasan "Hasanabi" Piker, who played with AOC on that record-breaking stream last month, is confirmed to be taking part, along with Ryan
Northernlion" Letourneau.
Politicians taking to Twitch has become more prevalent in recent times, as they aim to appeal to younger, more tech-savvy and socially clued-in voters.
Other than AOC and Ilhan, we saw Joe Biden take to Animal Crossing during his successful Presidential campaign, while outgoing President Trump had his own Twitch account suspended following an Oklahoma rally in June.
