FFXIV 5.4 New Main Story Quest
To start the new story of Futures Rewritten players will have to talk to Krile in The Rising Stones (X:6.0 Y:5.9) after completing the quest called "Reflections in Crystal".
FFXIV 5.4 New Dungeon: Matoya's Relict
After progressing enough in the new Main Story Quests players with an ilevel above 470 will be able to enter this new dungeon.
In addition, Anamnesis Anyder and The Heroes' Gauntlet ilevel now have an item sync level of 500.
FFXIV New Trial: Castrum Marinum — Emerald Weapon
After completing the Chronicles of a New Era quest "Sleep Now in Sapphire" players will have access (if they match the 485 ilevel requirements) to the new Emerald Weapon trial.
The required ilevel for the extreme version of this trial is 500 or above and totems looted from this trial can be exchanged by speaking with C'intana in Mor Dhona (X:22.7 Y:6.7).

FFXIV 5.4 New Treasure Hunt: The Shifting Oubliettes of Lyhe Ghiah
Using a zonureskin treasure map might spawn a portal for this new treasure hunt dungeon. This dungeon has a maximum of five summons.
Rewards for Gliderskin Treasure Maps, Zonureskin Treasure Maps, and Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah have been adjusted.
FFXIV 5.4 Unreal Titan
With the addition of The Navel (Unreal), The Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Unreal) is no longer accessible. The item level requirement for this trial is 435 and players may access from the Raid Finder after talking to Painfully Ishgardian Man in Idyllshire (X:7.0 Y:5.9) and completing the main scenario quest "Shadowbringers" and the quest "Keeping Up with the Aliapohs."
FFXIV 5.4 New Chronicles of a New Era Quests
Three new Chronicles have been added with Patch 5.4:
- The Sorrow of Werlyt starts with the quest Blood of Emerald by talking to Resistance Officer in The Lochs (X:11.3 Y:22.5)
- Eden starts with the quest Empty Promise by talking to Yalfort in Amh Araeng (X:26.7 Y:16.7)
- YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse starts with the quest To Make Amends by talking to Konogg in Kholusia (X:33.8 Y:18.0)
FFXIV 5.4 New Role and Side Story quests
Players can now start the new Role quest by talking to Cyella in The Crystarium (X:10.7 Y:15.3) after completing the main scenario quest "Reflections in Crystal" and the role quest "Shadow Walk with Me".
The new Side story quest called "Void Quests" starts by talking to the same NPC after completing the said role quest and the Chronicles of a New Era quests "Thok Around the Clock," "The Diabolical Bismarck," "A Fiendish Likeness," "A Deific Simulacrum," and "A Demonic Duplicate."
FFXIV 5.4 Allagan tomestones of revelation
Players will now have access to Allagan tomestones of revelation meaning the weekly limit on Allagan tomestones of allegory has been removed and that players can drop Allagan tomestones of phantasmagoria anymore.
Rewards from all roulettes, dungeons and Elite Marks have been changed according to this addition.
FFXIV 5.4 Changes to Gangos and Bozjan Southern Front
Changes have been brought to Gangos and the Bozjan Front:
- A lost finds cache has been added to Gangos (X:5.3 Y:5.5).
- Players can now confirm their mettle and Resistance rank by speaking with Sjeros in Gangos (X:5.5 Y:5.4).
- A Resistance appraiser can now be found in Gangos (X:5.3 Y:5.4).
- A Resistance locksmith can now be found in Gangos (X:5.5 Y:5.1).
- The lost action Mimic can now target all players when undertaking duties on the Bozjan southern front.
- The "Field Notes Exchange (Other)" category has been added to the Field Notes Exchange on the Bozjan southern front (X:15.0 Y:29.1). Using this exchange players may now exchange field notes for Bozjan coins.
- The "Bozja Effect" on Bozjan gear has been renamed "Save the Queen Area Effect."
- The help text for the logos action Sacrifice L has been adjusted.
FFXIV 5.4 New game+ Update
New quests have been added to the New Game+ menu:
- Shadowbringers - Part 3
- Side Story Quests
- Tank Quests
- DPS Quests
- Healer Quests
